hi! i have a question regarding when u give feed so granules etc. mine got it in the morning and evening but i know people also give it after exercise. which is better preferred?

Ours always have hay or hayledge to nibble on throughout the day and night. As for granules - do you mean like hard feed or chop? Ours get breakfast because they have supplements. And my old mare gets a lot of different mashes at night to keep her going as she has poor teeth. So breakfast and evening feeds for ours. Most of the people when I was on a yard fed breakfast, even just a token gesture. I guess it depends on routine and what they are needing nutrition wise. They do like routine though. I remember being mortified one time because Storm didn't have her breakfast ready. Fortunately for me, the yard had given her a helping of Happy Hoof because I had forgotten to leave it out for her.

I give it when they need it for nutrients (if their forage is deficient in vitamins, minerals or protein) or for body condition (forage not containing sufficient calories), either way it’s a daily thing. I know some people who give it only as a ‘treat’ after riding but that doesn’t really serve any purpose in my mind.

Mine get a once a day feed. I dont have a specific time or routine so it could be morning or evening, just when i go to see them. Before they were retired it was given after they had been out for exercise. It was still once a day.

I will soon have to feed twice a day because they are going to have veterinary meds which are best given twice a day.

Every AM and before/after an exercise session. Usually feed mid-ride if out on a long ride too.

I feed in the AM to supplement the diet, before exercise so they have forage to reduce acid splash back in their stomach and guard against ulcers. I started feeding sloppy feeds post exercise last summer when very hot to take on board electrolytes which has kind of stuck as P thought it was a great idea 🤣 He's not getting electrolytes everytime unless he's worked hard at the moment.
